Mrs. Simone McConnie is a 1993, UK trained Podiatrist with a wealth of experience serving Barbados and the Caribbean region. She is Co Chair for the North American and Caribbean region with D Foot International, Chair and co-founder of the Caribbean Wounds Network, Chair of the Paramedical Council (regulatory body of allied health), and co founder and Trustee of the Maria Holder Diabetes Centre. Member of APMA, ALPS, FIP and the Royal College of Podiatry (UK); Founder and Managing Podiatrist of Comfeet Footcare Clinic (Barbados) and certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Fellow and Board member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasglow) Faculty of Podiatric Medicine.
She has received multiple honours/recognitions, including the Oscar Jordan Award, a commendation from D Foot International and The Royal College of Podiatrists (UK). Published in regional and international magazines and journals, an international speaker, advocating for Podiatry, wound care, and ending avoidable amputations.
Guided by the belief “Podiatry is a life force” and teamwork drives progress, she champions “10 toes and 2 feet” for all.
