Louise Stuart MBE. MSc FRCPM has spent 38 years in Podiatry and remains a passionate advocate of the profession. Prior to becoming CEO of Gold Standard Foot & Leg Clinics Louise was a diabetes podiatrist at consultant level within the NHS. Louise was recognised for her contribution to the profession in 2008 when she was honoured to receive an MBE from HRH the Queen.

Since 2013 Louise and her Team have developed significant expertise in musculoskeletal medicine. Louise is a qualified Fascial Manipulation Therapist (Stecco method). She is also an experienced practitioner using Shockwave Therapy, High Intensity Laser Therapy, as well as focussed electromagnetic treatments. Louise states that our team aim to provide non-invasive management of all forms of lower limb pain regardless of age, bringing Harley Street treatments to Gold Standard Foot and Leg Clinics across Lancashire.

Fascial Manipulation for the Treatment of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome – Case Study Reports

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is a catastrophic debilitating condition typically affecting the extremities. CRPS has multiple associated sensory, motor and autonomic nerve changes. This condition is defined largely on its clinical presentation. There is considerable debate of what constitutes best treatment.

We report 4 case studies of patients with confirmed CRPS before, during and after treatment using fascia manipulation (Stecco Method).

The outcomes of fascial manipulation treatment has a transformational effect on the lives of the CRPS sufferers. However more robust research is needed
