Mr Ewan Kannegieter

Consultant Podiatric Surgeon

Ewan is a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon specialising in elective foot and ankle surgery, revision surgery and second opinions, with a longstanding interest in service development and clinical governance.

Following a decade as an NHS consultant, he now works in full time independent practice, operating across podiatric surgery in Chelmsford, Harley Street and West London at the Cadogan Clinic. He is founder of Kann Foot Surgery Ltd and co-director of the Motion Clinic Group, and his work spans clinical practice, medico legal opinion, education, research and the business of running multimodal private healthcare services.

As former Dean of Podiatric Surgery at the Royal College of Podiatry, he has held roles shaping surgical education, training pathways and professional standards across the UK. Much of this work has centred on guidance and governance frameworks, with a particular focus on clinical standards, patient safety, surgical decision making and professional accountability.

He also holds an academic appointment at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine, Quinnipiac University as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medical Sciences, where he oversees research fellows through the academic year.

Across all of it, his aim is to keep raising the standard of foot and ankle care through evidence informed practice, robust governance, reflective clinical judgement and genuine multidisciplinary collaboration.
