Clinical Lead Podiatrist

James Linsley, BSc (Hons), MSc, Independent Prescriber, is a Clinical Lead Podiatrist specialising in the assessment and management of the high-risk foot, lower limb wounds, and vascular complications affecting the lower extremities.

He holds a Master’s degree in Podiatry and works within a multidisciplinary team delivering advanced care for patients with complex foot pathology and chronic lower limb conditions. His clinical expertise includes diabetic foot disease, peripheral arterial disease, vascular assessment, chronic venous insufficiency, lower limb ulceration, and wound management.

James has a particular interest in the early identification and management of peripheral arterial disease, incorporating advanced vascular assessment techniques to support timely diagnosis, risk stratification, and patient-centred treatment planning.

As an Independent Prescriber, he contributes to the comprehensive management of patients with complex foot and lower limb conditions across a range of clinical settings.

Alongside his clinical role, James is actively involved in research, service development, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing outcomes for patients with high-risk feet and chronic wounds. He regularly delivers lectures and guest teaching sessions at universities and professional events, sharing expertise in vascular assessment, wound care, clinical governance, and innovations in high-risk foot management.
