Dr Jill Halstead PhD

MSK Research Podiatrist. NIHR Senior Clinical Research Fellow.

Dr Jill Halstead PhD is a podiatrist with 23 years experience, she co-founded MSK:UK and has supported grass roots MSK development in the profession over the last 15 years. She was awarded a PhD in 2013 and holds a visiting research fellow title at the University of Leeds School of Healthcare – where she has studied midfoot pain and foot osteoarthritis.

Jill works with leading Osteoarthritis research groups across the UK, USA and Australia. Jill has worked with the NICE osteoarthritis guideline committee and the International foot and ankle osteoarthritis committee.

Jill is the part time Clinical Lead for Research at Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust. Alongside this, she holds an NIHR Senior Clinical Research Award aimed at building community research capacity and community solutions for foot pain.
