Michelle qualified at University of Salford in 1994 and has had a career in both the NHS and independent sector.
Her career has straddled most aspects of podiatry, including senior leadership, management and training roles, plus clinical roles within the diabetic and podiatric surgery settings.
Michelle is a passionate about promotion of the profession, both in the UK and globally, and regularly attends international conferences speaking about the challenges facing the profession and the need for a more standardised course, practice and regulation.
Her international contacts also mean frequent travel to the USA and Canada, networking not only with healthcare professionals, but with industry leaders from a variety of professions and settings.
Outside of podiatry, she enjoys skiing, diving, mountain climbing, cycling and exploring the South West of England countryside.
