Wound Dressings and Advanced Wound Therapy

This talk will focus on the selection and use of wound dressings and advanced wound therapies. It will cover the classification of wound dressings, along with their actions, indications, and precautions. Key factors to consider in dressing selection will be discussed to support safe and appropriate clinical decision-making.

The session will also outline the use of advanced wound therapies such as topical negative pressure therapy, larval debridement, and topical antibiotic beads, and how these can be applied in the management of complex wounds.
