Clinical Lead Podiatrist Foot Medic Podiatry

I am a podiatrist with over 10 years’ experience working in a leading private practice, managing a high-volume musculoskeletal (MSK) caseload. Prior to qualifying in podiatry, I trained and worked as a Sports Therapist, gaining extensive experience in both short- and long-term injury rehabilitation.

I have a strong clinical interest in all aspects of musculoskeletal care and have used sports and kinesiology taping routinely in my clinical practice since graduating as a Sports Therapist. I consider taping to be a valuable short-term intervention for MSK conditions, offering an opportunity for early symptom improvement while longer-term management strategies are developed.

I have presented on two occasions at the Foot Medic Conference, delivering sessions on functional anatomy and MSK taping techniques. I have also hosted a weekly MSK Condition Review Seminar for clinicians across the Foot Medic Group, supporting ongoing clinical discussion and professional development.

More recently, I have begun delivering MSK taping technique courses, focused on practical, evidence-informed approaches that clinicians can apply immediately in practice.

One of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career was volunteering at the Special Olympics in Los Angeles in 2015, as well as at subsequent local events. This provided invaluable experience working alongside podiatrists from around the world, screening and treating athletes of all ages with intellectual disabilities.

Introduction to MSK Taping Techniques

This workshop provides a hands-on introduction to MSK Kinesiology Taping for podiatrists. It will cover key functional anatomy, the evidence behind taping, and the core principles needed to apply taping effectively in clinical practice.

Through case studies and live demonstrations, attendees will see how taping can be applied to common MSK presentations and how it fits into day-to-day podiatric care. The focus is on clinically relevant techniques that are quick, effective, and easy to reproduce in practice.

We will review it’s place in MSK treatment plans, and how it can be implemented alongside other modalities such as orthotic therapy, shockwave and rehabilitation programmes.

This session is ideal for podiatrists looking to boost their MSK skill set or for those seeking a practical refresher in taping. The techniques taught are designed for day-to-day clinical use, offering significant benefits for patients while requiring minimal outlay in terms of cost and time for clinicians. By the end of the workshop, attendees will have a practical skill set that can be implemented immediately in clinic with techniques that are quick, effective, and easy to apply.
