Podiatric Surgeon & Founder – FootSecure
Dr Sanjay Sharma has over 16 years’ experience in providing health care for the masses. He completed his Masters in General Surgery and pursued his further studies in Podiatric Surgery in US. He is also an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, (IIM) Bangalore, and University of California, Berkeley. He has completed MDP programs in Health Management / Hospital Administration / Health Economics from IIM Ahmedabad and AIIMS – New Delhi and World Bank respectively. Sanjay is the Founder of APTA FootSecure, Co-founder of Yostra Labs Pvt. Ltd. Sanjay has also invested in futuristic healthcare companies like PeopleHealth and Mediknit.
He is also on the advisory board of various Healthtech startups and Public Companies. He has contributed to several patents in Telemedicine, MedTech, Diabetic Foot and Wound Care domains. A few of his inventions are in the market today. He is the Vice President of Telemedicine Society of India, Karnataka Chapter; and Secretary of Indian Podiatry Association, Karnataka Chapter. He also mentors StartUp’s at NSRCEL, IIMB, Artilabs and Gincelerator. In December 2019, Sanjay was felicitated as the “Rising Star” in the Times Healthcare Achievers Awards, instituted by the Times Group and Govt. of Karnataka. FootSecure was also awarded as the “Best Podiatry Clinic Chain” by the India Today Group Dr Sharma is one of the few Podiatric Surgeons practicing in India, and his main field of work is in Diabetic Foot Care, Wound Management and Sports Injuries. Trained extensively in Foot Orthosis and offloading custom footwear. Dr Sanjay has trained more than 3000 people as a Staff and Volunteer at Landmark Education, between 1997 and 2003. He has also trained more than 700 doctors in Diabetic Wound Management / Debridement. He has been a speaker in various national and international conferences, and off late the webinars. He is an avid traveller, trekker and theatre artist.
